  This is a throw back to curry houses of old. In a good way. I walked in and knew I would love it. The décor is dated in a good way. The food is actually excellent. You could tell it was freshly made. Even the popadoms came with a homemade veg curry dip that was sensational (I've worked in India it was the real stuff). The currys were a cut above normal, not all minced onion in the sauce. It was proper long and slow cooked with an excellent level of spice (separate from heat) and my dish had a good level of heat too.
  We all cleaned our plates. Everyone remarked that it was the best curry they had had for a long time. Cheap too as BYO beer. well worth a look.
  Service was friendly too we will be going back.

  This is an average Indian restaurant and prices are on the high side of reasonable. It is popular and also operates as a takeaway, which when busy can be a nuisance to the sitting guests. The food is good quality, but is not licensed, however you can take your own alcohol and drink it on the premises
